to my backyard garden. I created this web page to share with fellow gardeners my efforts and my passion for gardening. As you will see, I have a passion for Lilies and have recently become interested in the Hemerocallis or Daylilies. I have been a graduate Horticulturist since 1982 and had the privilege of studying at Algonquin College in Ottawa, Canada. While growing plants has been a lifelong interest, the knowledge I gained from my courses has been totally invaluable. A couple of years ago I was bitten by the Lily bug. Not the red beetle that is now a common pest of Lily plants, but the bug that causes an over whelming fascination and desire for collecting true Lilies. I bought my first Lily in the Spring of 2000.
