My Rock Home Garden in Garden Supplies Directory

When we bought our new house in 1996, we obtained a garden which had to be redesigned completely. After we had created a terrace and a pound two stretches of ground remained unused. At first we had no clue what to do with these. However, after we went to see a couple of gardens from friends of ours, we immediately fell in love with a rock garden belonging to one of our friends. We especially liked the fact that the garden contained all sorts of plants that are considered to be ‘out of the ordinary’ and which can not be bought at the local garden shop. Today all empty spots have been filled with the socalled silex rocks. This type of rock can be found in the old sandstone quarries in Limburg. Amidst these rocks we have planted 200 different kinds of alpine and rock plants. Gradually our garden has developed into a hobby that requires a lot of our spare time.
